Sterlite Technologies Ltd has informed BSE that the Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company empowered by the Board for this purpose, in its meeting held on May 16, 2011, has inter alia approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of Sterlite Infra-Tech Ltd (100% Subsidiary of the Company) with the Company, subject to receipt of all statutory and regulatory approvals, including approvals and orders under Sections 391 and 394 of the Companies Act, 1956, as may be required.
