Salman Khan-starrer Kick is now the second most successful movie at the domestic box office. Kick with a net collection of over Rs 210 crore is now ahead of Chennai Express (Rs 208 crore) and 3 idiots (Rs 201 crore), according to estimates of boxofficeindia.com. Kick now only trails Dhoom 3 which grossed Rs 260 crore net, according to boxofficeindia.com figures.
Kick collected Rs 48 crore net in its second week, the second best figure for any movie, according to boxofficeindia.com estimates.
Kick also has emerged Salman Khan's highest grosser in international markets. Till Friday, Kick had collected Rs 65.74 crore from overseas markets, said trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a tweet.
Kick's success makes Salman Khan the first Bollywood actor to have seven Rs 100 crore movies to his credit, according to Mr Adarsh: Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho.
With Kick, director Sajid Nadiadwala has also moved into record books. He has become director whose first movie has grossed over Rs 200 crore.
Released on July 25, Kick also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, among others. Kick was released over 5,000 screens in India and as well as 42 other countries. (With Agency Inputs)
