Telecom companies are offering a host of prepaid recharge packs to attract customers and increase their customer base. Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio offers 1.5 GB data per day to 5 GB data per day, under it various prepaid recharge packs. Similarly Vodafone India and Airtel have also come up with similar packs. Telecom sector in the country has witnessed intense competition since the arrival of Reliance Jio, which compelled Idea and Vodafone to join hands. On Thursday, the Department of Telecom (DoT) gave final approval to the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular.
