Power Finance, Rural Electrification Surge on Coal Reforms
Shares in Power Finance Corporation gained 5 per cent, while Rural Electrification Corporation was up nearly 5 per cent.
The government said on Monday it would auction coal blocks after the Supreme Court cancelled allocations in September.
Coal block auctions will reduce uncertainty regarding power generation companies that depend on the dry fuel, traders say.
