OBR Optimism on Economy Doesn't Stretch Beyond 2017: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- The U.K.'s Office for Budget Responsibility jacked up its prediction for growth this year to 2 percent from 1.4 percent in November, reflecting the better momentum in the economy in recent months. But its optimism doesn't go any further than 2017, with the outlook cut or unchanged in every subsequent year to 2021. The forecasts are also lower than the OBR was predicting a year ago, before the Brexit vote.
