Merrill Lynch Arm Buys HDIL Shares Worth Rs 29 Crore

Mumbai: Merrill Lynch Capital Markets Espana on Tuesday picked up over 30 lakh shares of real estate player Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) for nearly Rs 29 crore through the open market route.

A total of 30,50,000 shares of HDIL were acquired by the Merrill Lynch Capital Market arm, bulk deal data with the stock exchanges showed.

The shares were acquired for an average price of Rs 94.73 apiece, bringing the transaction value to Rs 28.89 crore.

In a separate transaction, ATPI offloaded 32.30 lakh shares in Indiabulls Real Estate for Rs 24.97 crore. The shares were sold for an average price of Rs 77.32 apiece.

Meanwhile, Anil Ambani group company Reliance Capital sold 3.75 lakh shares of TV Today Network for more than Rs 6 crore. The shares were offloaded for Rs 163.41 apiece.

On Monday, Reliance Capital had offloaded nearly 4.8 lakh shares in TV Today Network for more than Rs 7 crore.

Shares in HDIL, on Tuesday, ended at Rs 100.05 apiece on the BSE, up 8.63 per cent from the previous close. Indiabulls Real Estate stock ended 3.85 per cent higher at 80.85 apiece, while TV Today Network
 shares closed 3.75 per cent lower at Rs 157.75 apiece on the BSE.
