Mardaani Box Office Collection Picking Up
Rani Mukerji-starrer Mardaani has started to pick up momentum at the box office. Despite receiving appreciation from the audience and critics alike Mardaani did not exactly get the cash registers ringing as it hit theatres.
Mardaani's collections on Sunday however saw an uptick. According to Bollywood website moviesboxoffice.in, Mardaani clocked around 5.5 crore on Sunday.
The film released on Friday and grossed around Rs 3 crore on the first day according to Boxofficeindia. Saturday saw a marginal increase with Mardaani grossing around 4.75 crore.
Mardaani has been slowly but steadily gathering steam at the box office, but its collections so far is small change compared recent releases like Salman Khan-starrer Kick and Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns which raced to Rs 100 crore in three days.
Mardaani is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner.
Mardaani is touted as Rani Mukerji's 'comeback' film.
