Kernex Microsystems Receives Rs 2,041-Crore Order From Chittaranjan Locomotive Works

The order received by Kernex Microsystems exceeds the market capitalisation of the company which is of Rs 1,910.83 crore.

Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd. on Friday has received an order worth Rs 2,041.40 crore from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works.

The contract includes the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 2,500 sets of onboard KAVACH equipment, according to an exchange filing on Friday. The sets are supposed to be delivered by Dec. 6, 2025.

The Rs 2,041.40-crore order received exceeds the market capitalisation of the company which is of Rs 1,910.83 crore. Kernex Microsystems shares had hit a 5% upper circuit limit, at Rs 1,137.9 after receiving the order.

The software packages developer reported a net profit of Rs 6.85 crore in second quarter of the current fiscal, as compared to a net loss of Rs 4.41 crore for the same period last year.

Net sales surged to Rs 41.22 crore for the three months ended Sept. 30, from Rs 1.41 crore reported in the same quarter last year.

Kernex Microsystems (India) provides professional electronic systems that can work under harsh environmental conditions. It also offers concept, design, validation, manufacture, evaluation, installation along with technical and maintenance support, on turnkey basis.

The share price of Kernex Microsystems closed at Rs 1,137.90 per share on the National Stock Exchange, reflecting a rise of 5%. In contrast, the benchmark Nifty saw a decline of 0.12%.

Over the past 12 months, the stock has increased by 97.79%, and it has risen 97.16% year-to-date.

In November, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works awarded KAVACH order to G.G. Tronics India Pvt., a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd.

The contract comprises of supplying, installation, testing, and commissioning of onboard KAVACH equipment as per RDSO specifications along with an annual maintenance for 11 years.
