Indian Rupee Ends Higher Against The U.S. Dollar In Volatile Session

The Indian rupee ended higher against the U.S. dollar on Friday.

The local currency opened at 82.85, depreciating 9 paise from Thursday's close of 82.76.

During the day, it fell as much as 0.2% to 82.92, but reversed all losses to gain 0.2% to 82.60.

The rupee ended 0.08% higher at 82.69.

The rupee had hit record lows for two consecutive days, crossing the 83-mark at the close on Wednesday and falling to a record low of 83.29 on Thursday.
