Overseas investors in Indian equities remained net buyers for the third session in a row, on Thursday.

Foreign portfolio investors net bought equities worth Rs 279.01 crore today, as per data from the National Stock Exchange.

On the other hand, domestic institutional investors turned net sellers and sold equities worth Rs 43.92 crore.

Institutions have net bought Rs 2,693.06 crore worth of equities in October so far, and net sold Rs 35,133.55 crore worth of Indian equities till date in 2022.

The Sensex rose 0.27% (157 points) to close at 58,222.10, while the Nifty 50 also advanced 0.33% to close at 17,331.80.
