Which one is good- Scorpio, Duster or Ecosport ?

 EcoSport and Duster.

Please recommend a good sedan apart from Skoda. Budget is Rs 12 to 16 lakh. 

In that price range, go for Fluence, Laura and Cruze.

PK: Is Ducati Monster 795 a good bike?

Yes indeed!  It is easy to ride and very stable.

If Sonata or Elantra is released in india, which will give me value for money ?

Sonata is coming and Elantra will most likely be a diesel variant. Both will give you value for money. 

Bhushan: DC Avanti has announced thier price , which is coming up in Rs 25 lakh. Will this car change the Indian Supercar or SportsCar market? We get sports car for Rs 1 crore. What's your take on this car ?
 

 It's a great move by DC in my view.

Jai : Which is the best hatchback currently running in India?

So many! But if I have to pick one - petrol would be Jazz and diesel would be Swift.

It depends on the purpose. For family use, Ertiga, Innova are better.

Prasanth Makam: What would be best choice in crs ranging 8-10 Lakhs ? In other words, between Hyundai verna, vento, Fiesta and Rapid ?
 

Verna, Fiesta, Rapid in that order.

Avinash: When will you be test driving the Diesel Sunny and the Ertiga and when is the Ertiga expected in showrooms?
 

Hopefully soon! Ertiga is expected by February end.

Kumar: Is skoda planning for a new or upgrade of Laura?

The Laura has already had its midcycle makeover, so now expect a new generation Octavia globally by 2013. It will be called Octavia in India too finally.

Guest : What about Toyota Avanza ?
 

The Avanza is not coming to india in this generation. Next generation Innova will sport smaller Avanza like vehicle and will arrive in 2014-15.

Rohit Sharma: When is Hyundai going to be launched i30 in India?
 

The i30 is not coming but the Elantra is, which is super gorgeous!

I am trying to buy a SUV. I have narrowed down to Fortuner 2wd AT and New 2012 Cheverolet Captiva. Which do you prefer? Is there any other choice in this range with same specs.
 

The captiva is a more pleasant drive, but Fortuner is better value.

Well, there are many, but many ladies I know love the Micra and the i10.

Please wait a few weeks till Maruti unviels prices on its Ertiga. It should be worth a look for your needs.

Nagraj:  When is Hyundai going to launch new Sonata and with the diesel engine?What would be the price? Which car do you recommend among Sonata and Laura and Jetta? Also, any news abt BMW 1 series arrival in India? 
 

The new Sonata is arriving by February end and will only sport a 2.4 litre petrol motor. Its price will be in the Rs 17-19 lakh range. The BMW 1 series has taken a back seat since the Mini car is here. It won't arrive for another three years at least.

Vikas: Polo or Swift?
 

The new Swift is compelling, but Polo petrol is sportier. I would suggest to go for Polo if petrol and Swift if diesel.

Anwar: Can you please suggest between the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner .

The Fortuner for sure, it has just got a super facelift too.

Niranjan:  Is there going to be an i20 facelift?

Yes, it is expected by August this year.

I am happy with the new Chevys but await pricing first!

Facelifts are still months away on Polo, will happen in 2013.

The second row is remarkably spacious in Ertiga, the third is a bit cramped, but decent.

Veloster is unlikely to come in India anytime soon.

Which ones do you mean? Unlikely in most cases.

It will take a lot to gain that kind of success. If the Duster or EcoSport start at Rs 8 lakh then they could.

 It is delayed!! But gorgeous car, well built, filled with many featurs. It should be of good value when launched by March.

Rahul Anand: Are we expecting a new Honda City given that the sales have come down over past few months due to the launch of Verna and what is the future of SX4?
 

The new Honda City facelift just happened. So no more for a while now.

Vijay: I want to buy a Family MPV with average running for about 1000 kms a month , can the Ertiga match the Innova in terms of comfort? Should I wait for the Ertiga or buy the Innova right away? Also, is Laura petrol the best car in its segment? I like the car, but afraid that it will be phased out soon, what's your advice?
 

It's just a few weeks away, so do wait for the Ertiga and see it for yourself. Laura won't be phased out (will be replaced by next gen Octavia) until mid 2013 at the earliest.

Rajneesh: Would you recommend- a sub 10 L sedan (on road) petrol?
 

There are many, but go for the the Fiesta if driving is key or Verna for all round winner.

Rishabh: What is your opinion on the New TATA Safari Storm compared to the current model in terms of looks, design and technology?
 

It shud have been a new generation of the Safari.

Rakesh: What would be the lowest and maximum price range of Ford's Eco-Sport???
 

 Rs 8-11 lakh.

Vijai: XUV or Fortuner?
 

The XUV is way more value for money, but updated Fortuner is also nice now.

Chirag: What is your views on Ertiga? I felt the 3rd rows too cramped, they could have extended the wheel-base more...
 

The idea was to stay compact. It is not as spacious as the Innova, but it is not bad otherwise.

 

Buccaneer002: As per your advise on twitter, I am awaiting the Q3, now that it's launched at Auto expo 2012, whats your take? X1 or Q3?

 

The Q3 will be more SUV like but pricier than X1. Its launch is closer to June. Prices expected are RS 24-19 lakh.

Shivjot :  I want to buy an diesel automatic and Verna is the cheapest. I want to ask that is there any other car coming up with an diesel auto box?

No diesel auto coming anytime soon, so Verna it is!

PK: Between hyundai verna and skoda rapid, which car is the best in the segment?

Skoda Rapid is a bit more practical but overall Verna wins on space and feature list.

 

Satish: What about the mini Xylo, New Dezire and Fabia Scout?

Mini Xylo is coming by August, Dzire by July but Fabia Scout is unlikely to come.

Gopi:  Q3 will be delivered and launch in which month exactly? Should I go for automatic fortuner or wait for Q3?

It is launching by August. Expect price to be below Rs 10 lakh.

Not in the Indian context for many years still.

I have not driven it as yet, it appears to be. I will drive it in a week or so.

Soon hopefully! Ertiga is expectec by the end of February.

I find ride comfort to be good on TVS bikes.

You could wait sicne the launch is likely in about June. But prices will be at least Rs 4-6 lakh higher than Fortuner.
