(Bloomberg) -- AccuWeather Inc., the digital provider of weather forecasts and warnings, is giving all of its employees “special” year-end bonuses, citing its growing confidence in economic growth following the passage of federal tax overhaul.
Barry Myers, AccuWeather's chief executive officer, has been tapped by President Donald Trump to lead the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. His brother, Joel N. Myers, is the weather firm's chairman and president.
Without disclosing the amount of the planned bonuses, the closely held company said they're “possible due to the company's robust financial performance in 2017 and strong confidence in the growing U.S. and global economy now that the Tax Bill has passed.”
