Infosys has issued a clarification, stating that as of today, there is no tax demand outstanding concerning the alleged ineligible input tax credit (ITC) refunds under the Goods and Services Tax regime.
The company asserted in an exchange filing that it has been fully compliant with all relevant State and Central laws about GST refunds. This statement was made in response to reports regarding a show-cause notice issued by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence on Aug. 12, seeking Rs 415 crore.
Infosys further confirmed that it has already filed a plea in the Karnataka High Court, challenging the legitimacy of the DGGI's notice.

The scrip rose 10% in trade so far to Rs 551 apiece, compared to 0.22% gains in the Nifty 50 as of 9:24 a.m.

What Brokerages Say: Eternal Price Target Hike
Eternal Ltd.'s share price received a boost from research firm Citi as the brokerage firm increased the price target to Rs 395 from Rs 320, while maintaining a 'buy' rating on the stock.
The 23% hike is driven primarily by the stellar growth momentum and strong market leadership of its Quick Commerce business—Blinkit.
