Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.'s share price declined 1.11% as the IT major reported a decrease in its net profit for the January–March quarter of fiscal 2025, against expectations of an increase. The company's net profit fell 1.26% to Rs 12,224 crore compared to Rs 12,766 crore estimated by Bloomberg.
Tata Steel
Tata Steel Ltd.'s share price rose nearly 6% in Friday's session as the company's Netherlands subsidiary announced transformation programmes to improve its competitiveness. Tata Steel Netherlands has submitted a request to the Central Works Council for advice regarding the transformation plan.

Zomato
Zomato Ltd.'s share price jumped 3.32% on Friday following the announcement that its inactive Netherlands subsidiary, Zomato Netherlands B.V., had initiated liquidation.

The shares of NBCC India Ltd. rose 3.67% to over a two-month high on Friday after it sold residential units worth Rs 1,504.7 crore. The company sold 1,185 residential units at Aspire Dream Valley, Phase III, through an e-auction.

HDFC Bank Ltd. was the biggest point contributor to Nifty 50, as the stock added 82.33 points after it rose nearly 3% in Friday's trade.

Hindalco Industries Ltd.'s share price rose 6.5% as the Nifty Metal index surged to be the top gainer in terms of sectoral indices, with the index gaining 4.47%.
