US President Donald Trump on Friday warned of possible fresh military action against Iran if Tehran does not agree to dismantle its nuclear programme.
“If we don't get Iran nuclear disarmament, we will go in,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, while adding that “the last thing we need right now is a war.”
Trump reiterated that Iran “will never have a nuclear weapon” and claimed the US had achieved a “total military victory” against Tehran.
Commenting on Iran's military infrastructure, Trump said the country's missile-making capacity was “80%-85% gone” and added that the US retains the capability to strike Iranian bridges and electrical infrastructure sites if required.
On Iran's enriched nuclear material, Trump said the US “may get it at the right time.”

He said the US agreed to the Iran ceasefire “as a favour to other nations,” while insisting Washington remains prepared to act if Tehran pursues nuclear weapons.
The US President also revealed that he had discussed sanctions on Iranian oil with Xi Jinping as part of broader conversations with China.
Trump said he and Xi “agree on trade very much” and added that US farmers “will be happy with the deal made with China.” However, he clarified that tariffs were not discussed during the latest interaction.
The two leaders also discussed denuclearisation and artificial intelligence cooperation, according to Trump.
“We talked about possibly working together on AI,” Trump said, adding that the US and China could cooperate on establishing “AI guardrails.”
Trump further said he is planning to visit China in November.
