(Bloomberg) -- Paul Manafort's lawyers asked the judge presiding over his money laundering case for additional time to craft a motion to modify the terms of his release from custody.
The one-time Trump campaign chairman was indicted last week by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and pleaded not guilty. He is largely confined to his Virginia home on an unsecured $10 million bond with electronic monitoring.
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson in Washington is scheduled to take up the issue of bail terms for Manafort and co-defendant Rick Gates on Nov. 6.
Manafort's lawyers were supposed to file their bid to alter those terms Thursday night. They now seek leave to do that Saturday and perhaps postpone the hearing as well. Mueller's team doesn't object, the defense lawyers said, adding that the parties are negotiating terms.
