(Bloomberg) -- For all the talk of uncertainty, higher prices and squeezed incomes in the aftermath of the U.K.'s vote to leave the European Union, British people got happier in the year after it.
The improvement in life satisfaction and happiness ratings compiled by the Office for National Statistics were driven by England, the only country where average scores across these measures improved. There was no change in average anxiety ratings in the period.
