Samsung Provides Android 15-Based One UI 7 Update To Galaxy M14, Other Devices

Samsung is extending the Android 15-based One UI 7 update to entry-level devices. The update is being provided to Samsung Galaxy F55, Galaxy F16, Galaxy M55s, Galaxy M14, and Galaxy A05s. 

Till now, the One UI 7 interface was available only on premium and mid-range devices.

As far as the Galaxy M14 is concerned, SamMobile reports that the One UI 7 update is meant for the 4G/LTE variant of the phone (SM-M145F). Currently, the update is unavailable for the 5G variant (SM-M146B). The update is limited to Indian users right now.

The publication said it expects the update to be released for the 5G version and in other geographies in the next few days.

According to Sammy Fans, the update provides the May 2025 security patch to Galaxy F55, M55s, M14, and A05s. On the other hand, the April 2025 patch is installed on the Galaxy F16.

This update provides a new look to the phone’s interface, including the app icons and the quick settings panel.

As per Sammy Fans, the firmware version and the size of the updates for the devices are as follows:

• Galaxy F16 – E166PXXU2BYE5 (2.7GB)

• Galaxy F55 – E556BXXU4BYE7 (3.4GB)

• Galaxy M55s – M558BXXU2BYE7 (3.3GB)

• Galaxy M14 – M145FXXU7DYE2 (2.7GB)

• Galaxy A05s – A057FXXU9DYE5 (2.6GB)

If you use one of these devices and have received a notification for the update, you can initiate the update by following the notification. Otherwise, you can open Settings, go to Software Update and tap on Download and install. If an update is available for your device, you can follow the instructions to install it.

Notable features on One UI 7 include the Now Bar and Live Notifications. These features let users access updates on their home screen, lock screen and status bar without requiring them to open the apps.

Sammy Fans notes that important features in One UI 7 include bigger home screen folders, better security features and a vertical scrolling app drawer.
