Now that we finally have some clarity on the Freedom 251 phone, Ringing Bells has decided to push its luck even further with an LED TV.
Much like the Freedom 251 phone, the appeal is this television's price, and for Rs 9,990 you can be the owner of a 31.5-inch HD LED TV from the company. First of all, we were informed initially that delivery of the TVs would start 15 July onwards, but that's been postponed to 15 August. The reason? What better day than the Independence Day to deliver its Freedom TV?
As far as the product goes, the 31.5-inch television is said to offer 1366 x 768 pixels or HD resolution quality. We've been promised 4 connectivity ports; 2 HDMI and USB ports. To top it off, the company promises that the contrast ratio of their TV will be 3000:1.
It's going to be hard to believe what this company says henceforth. After first promising to deliver its Freedom 251 phone to over 2 lakh customers by 30 June, they have now retracted their announcement to confirm that a mere 5000 units will be sold, that too via a lucky draw.
But citing better profit margins with the TVs, Mohit Goel, Director of Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd is optimistic about being able to make good on his promises, with this product at least.

It's All About the Money: Ringing Bells Knows the Customer
First they talk about mass producing the cheapest ever phone, now they're marketing a super-affordable LED TV. Everyone agrees that price is the biggest product influencer in India and Ringing Bells seems to have tapped into that. However, there needs to be an end product that reaches the masses, sooner rather than later.
We'll be keeping an eye on the developments with the LED TV and, hopefully we're not going to have to say, ‘I told you so'.
