Google is set to host its annual developers conference Google I/O from Tuesday, May 20, to Wednesday, May 21. The company is expected to make significant announcements, and share updates and developments regarding its software services.
The event can be viewed via livestream on the company's YouTube channel or on the official 'Google I/O' website. It will begun at 10:30 p.m. (Indian Standard Time).
What To Expect
As mentioned earlier, the event will most likely focus on the company's updates regarding innovation and developments in their AI software and their upcoming AI services.
Google's Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai will commence the event with his keynote address from the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, USA.
The livestream is also anticipated to be lengthy and go on for a few hours.
Many publications have speculated that the event will most likely focus heavily on artificial intelligence due to the tech giant facing competition in the space from rivals like Microsoft (who had also focused on AI in their 'Build' event) and Open AI.

Google might provide more details on 'Material 3 Expressive', an open source user interface which aims to overhaul Google's approach to visual design in order to provide users with lots of customisation options as well as a more dynamic and evocative visual makeover for it's OS.
Subsequently, an announcement may be made regarding their major user interface updates via to 'Wear OS 6' the operating system for its smartwatches. The OS was covered in the 'Android Show: I/O Edition' event and the firm announced that Material 3 Expressive will be used to update its UI.
The web browsing firm is expected give updates on its continued progress in integrating AI with their search functions.
Other announcements to look out for include 'Google XR', the company's smart glasses that was teased by Google Android's President Sameer Samat at the aforementioned Android Show, as well as an AI application that will help users curate their aesthetic ideas for fashion and interior design, akin to Pinterest.
It may also announce more premium versions of its flagship Gemini AI application with more features and capabilities.
