David Miller held his nerve in a tense finish, smashing two sixes and a four in the final over to guide Delhi Capitals to a six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their Indian Premier League clash on Saturday.

Miller's late heroics against RCB served as redemption for his earlier lapse in a tense run-chase against Gujarat Titans. In that match, with Delhi Capitals needing just two runs off the final two deliveries, Miller was at the crease alongside Kuldeep Yadav. However, a costly misjudgment saw him decline a single on the penultimate ball, increasing the pressure.

With two runs needed off the final delivery, the batters attempted a desperate run, but Jos Buttler produced a sharp piece of work behind the stumps to run out Kuldeep Yadav. The dramatic finish handed Gujarat Titans an unlikely victory, leaving David Miller shocked and ruing his judgment.

Opting to bat first, RCB posted 175/8, thanks largely to Phil Salt's brisk 63 off 38 balls. However, the rest of the batting unit failed to build on the start, as DC's disciplined bowling effort kept the hosts in check. Skipper Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Lungi Ngidi picked up two wickets apiece to stall RCB's momentum.

In response, DC chased down 176 with one ball to spare. KL Rahul anchored the innings with a composed 57, while Tristan Stubbs provided the finishing thrust with an unbeaten 60. Despite a fine spell from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who returned figures of 3/26, RCB couldn't hold their nerve at the death. Miller then stepped up in the final over, launching two towering sixes to seal a thrilling victory for Delhi Capitals.

RCB v DC score:

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 175/8 in 20 overs (Phil Salt 63; Axar Patel 2/18, Kuldeep Yadav 2/32, Lungi Ngidi 2/39).

Delhi Capitals: 179/4 in 19.5 overs (KL Rahul 57, Tristan Stubbs 60 not out; Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3/26).
