Hindustan Aeronautics Announces Interim Dividend Of Rs 25

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. on Wednesday announced an interim dividend of Rs 25 per equity share for the third quarter of fiscal 2025. The company announced distribution of Rs 1,671 crore to shareholders in the third quarter of this fiscal.

The board has fixed Feb. 18 as the record date for the purpose of dividend payment, according to an exchange filing on Wednesday.

In comparison, the company had issued a final dividend of Rs 13 apiece on Aug. 21 and a dividend of Rs 22 on Feb. 20, 2024.

Hindustan Aeronautics' consolidated net profit rose 14.1% year-on-year to Rs 1,440 crore for the quarter-ended Dec. 31, 2024, according to an exchange filing on Wednesday. The company's bottom line has beaten the consensus estimate of Rs 1,324 crore of analysts tracked by Bloomberg.

HAL's revenue during the third quarter rose 14.8% to Rs 6,957 crore in the October-December period, as against Rs 6,061 crore over the same period last year. Operating income, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation, rose 17.2% year-on-year to Rs 1,683 crore. The Ebitda margin expanded to 24.2% versus 23.7%.

Hindustan Aeronautics Shares Decline

Shares of HAL pared gains after falling nearly 5% on Wednesday. The shares fell as much as 4.92% during the day to Rs 3,470 apiece on the NSE. It pared gains to trade 1.19% lower at Rs 3,606.15 apiece, as of 1:59 p.m. This compares to a 0.28% decline in the NSE Nifty 50.

The stock has risen 25.60% in the last 12 month. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 1.8 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 39.

Out of 16 analysts tracking the company, 15 maintain a 'buy' rating and one suggests 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month consensus price target implies an upside of 46.4%.
