3M Announces Mega Dividend Of Rs 695; Q4 Profit Falls 59%

3M India Ltd. on Wednesday announced a dividend of Rs 695 per equity share for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024-25 that includes a final dividend of Rs 160 per share and a special dividend of Rs 535 per share. The company announced distribution of Rs 782 crore to shareholders in the fourth quarter of this fiscal.
The board has fixed July 25 as the record date for the purpose of dividend payment, the company said in an exchange filing on Wednesday.
In comparison, the company had issued a final dividend of Rs 160 apiece and a special dividend of Rs 525 on July 5, 2024.
3M's standalone net profit fell 59% year-on-year to Rs 71.37 crore in the three months ended March 31, 2025. The mask maker's revenue during the fourth quarter rose 9.5% to Rs 1,198.23 crore in the January-March period, as against Rs 1,094.54 crore over the same period last year.
Operating income, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation, rose 6% year-on-year to Rs 226.72 crore. The Ebitda margin contracted to 18.9% versus 19.6%.
Additionally, the company approved the appointment of V Sreedharan and Associates as secretarial auditors for a period of five consecutive years from financial year 2025-26 to fiscal 2029-30, subject to approval of shareholders of the company at ensuing annual general meeting.
3M Shares Decline
The shares of 3M fell as much as 7.46% during the day to Rs 27,830 apiece on the NSE. It pared gains to trade 1.06% higher at Rs 29,860 apiece, as of 2:25 p.m. This compares to a 0.16% decline in the NSE Nifty 50 Index.
It has fallen 11.98% in the last 12 months and 1.79% year-to-date. The relative strength index was at 66.60.
