Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Gain Rs 1.23 Lakh Crore In Market Cap, Led By TCS, Infosys
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.98% higher at 24,708.40 and the BSE Sensex closed 1% up at 81,765.86.

The top 10 most-valued firms gained a cumulative Rs 1.23 lakh crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and Infosys Ltd. emerging as the biggest gainers.
TCS gained Rs 36,452 crore, taking its market capitalisation to Rs 16.1 lakh crore, while Infosys gained Rs 17,854 crore, with its market cap rising to Rs 8.03 lakh crore.
The Nifty IT reached a record high, extending its winning streak to five consecutive sessions. The rally in IT stocks was fuelled by positive remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
All the stocks in the top 10 most-valued firms ended in the green for the session. Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. gained Rs 16,851 crore and Rs 15,426 crore respectively.
The market cap of ICICI Bank Ltd. rose by Rs 14,760 crore to Rs 9.41 lakh crore, while Hindustan Unilever Ltd. gained Rs 7,401 crore to Rs 5.86 lakh crore. HDFC Bank added Rs 6,141 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 14.2 lakh crore and State Bank of India gained Rs 5,087 crore to Rs 7.71 lakh crore.
Larsen & Toubro Ltd. gained Rs 3,162 crore in market cap to Rs 5.26 lakh crore and ITC Ltd. added Rs 625 crore, with its market cap rising to Rs 5.84 lakh crore.
RIL remained the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, HUL, ITC and HCL Technologies Ltd.

The benchmark equity indices turned volatile in the last hour of trade on Thursday but still managed to close at their highest levels in more than a month, tracking records made by their US peers.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 240.95 points or 0.98% higher at 24,708.40 and the BSE Sensex closed 809.53 points or 1% up at 81,765.86.
During the day, the Nifty rose as much as 1.6% to 24,857.75, its highest level since Oct. 22 and the Sensex added as much as 1.68% to 82,317.74, its highest level since Oct. 9.
