Hero MotoCorp Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., and TVS Motor Ltd., released their sales figures for June on Friday evening. Here's a look at how their stocks are reacting to the monthly sales performance.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors' shares rose as much as 2.42 percent to Rs 469 a piece, after the company said its total sales grew 8 percent in June to 44,276 units.
Passenger vehicle sales jumped 22 percent because of strong demand for the recently launched Tiago hatchback, the company said in its press release.
Hero MotoCorp
Shares of the two-wheeler maker declined half a percent after the company said its sales in June grew only 1.32 percent to 5.49 lakh units.
TVS Motor
TVS Motor's stock gained close to 2 percent after the company announced that its total sales grew 11 percent to 2.47 lakh units in June.
Growth was led by a 13.8 percent rise in two-wheeler sales, the company said in its media release. Scooter sales increased 10.3 percent, however three-wheeler sales decreased 35 percent.
