Nifty, Sensex Live Today: SBI, ICICI Bank Lead Gains
SBI, ICICI Bank, RIL, Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel emerged as the top gainers for the day.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto and Shriram Finance were the worst performers of the Nifty 50 index.
Nifty, Sensex Live Today: Metal, PSU Bank Gain Most
Broader indices on the other hand ended in the negative. Nifty Midcap 150 ended 0.17% lower and Nifty Smallcap 250 closed 0.67% lower.
Most sectoral indices rose with Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank leading the advance, Nifty Media and Nifty realty were among the laggards.
The market breadth was skewed in the favour of sellers, as 2,709 stocks declined, 1,577 advanced and 204 remained unchanged on the BSE.

Indian equities end five-day loosing streak to end near day's high as India-US trade deal hopes ignite a sharp rebound. Nifty had fallen below the 25,000 levels but closed near 25,800.
Intraday, both Nifty and Sensex fell nearly 0.90% but after it saw a sharp recovery it rose as much as 0.50%.

After slipping to a multi-session low, momentum indicators suggest that bears are likely to retain the upper hand, at least in the near term.
In the previous session on Friday, the benchmark ended lower for the fifth consecutive session. The NSE Nifty 50 ended 193.55 points or 0.75% lower at 25,683.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 604.72 points or 0.72% lower at 83,576.24.
