Stock Market Highlights: Nifty, Sensex End In Red After Four Days Of Gains
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 120.75 points, or 0.47% lower at 25,517.05, while the BSE Sensex closed 452.44 points, or 0.54% down at 83,606.46.

Indian benchmark equity indices closed with losses on Monday, led by share prices of Tata Consumer Ltd. and Axis Bank Ltd.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 120.75 points, or 0.47% lower at 25,517.05, while the BSE Sensex closed 452.44 points, or 0.54% down at 83,606.46. During the day, Nifty fell 0.64% to trade at 25,473.30 and Sensex declined 0.69% to 83,482.13.







Shares of Trent Ltd., State Bank Of India and IndusInd Bank Ltd. were the top gainers.
While those of Tata Consumer Ltd., Axis Bank Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. were among the biggest laggards.

In terms of points contribution, SBI and Trent were among stocks that led the gains in the index.
HDFC Bank Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. dragged the index the most.

On NSE, nine out of 15 sectors ended in red, with Nifty Realty, Finance and Auto declining the most.

The broader market indices settled higher as the BSE MidCap and SmallCap both advanced 0.65% and 0.81%, respectively.
The market breadth was skewed in the favour of buyers as 1,762 stocks declined, 2,343 advanced and 182 remained unchanged on the BSE.
