Stock Market Highlights: Nifty, Sensex Clock Best Weekly Returns In Nearly Two Months
During the day, the Nifty rose 1.38% to trade at 25,136.20 and the Sensex rose 1.39% to 82,494.49.

The benchmark equity indices reversed their declining streak as they ended the week with gains on Friday.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 319.15 points or 1.29% higher at 25,112.40, while the BSE Sensex closed 1,046 points or 1.29% higher at 82,408. During the day, the Nifty rose 1.38% to trade at 25,136.20 and the Sensex rose 1.39% to 82,494.49.
Benchmark indices outperformed broader market indices, with Nifty and Sensex closing more than 1.3% higher for the week. Trent and Mahindra & Mahindra emerged as the top gainers on Nifty. However, the Nifty Smallcap 250 fell by more than 1.5%, dragged down by AstraZeneca and Valor Estate.
Nifty Auto, IT, Bank, and Financial Services sectors all gained more than 1% for the week, with Nifty Auto emerging as the top-performing sector, led by Mahindra & Mahindra and Samvardhana Motherson. On the other hand, the Nifty Midcap 150 fell for the second consecutive week.











Shares of Jio Financial Service Ltd. and Bharti Airtel Ltd. were the top gainers.
Bajaj Auto Ltd. and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. were among the biggest laggards.

In terms of points contribution, HDFC Bank Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. were among stocks that led the gains in the index.

On the NSE, all 15 sectors ended with gains, with Nifty Realty, Defence and PSU Bank gaining the most.

The broader market indices underperformed as the BSE MidCap and SmallCap both declined 1.24% and 0.55% respectively.
The market breadth was skewed in favour of the buyers as 1,470 stocks declined, 2,461 advanced and 149 remained unchanged on the BSE
