RailTel Corp of India share price extended gains to a third day after the company received orders worth Rs 78 crore from Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. The telecom-infrastructure provider will implement information technology based security infrastructure along with various types of services, RailTel Corp said in the exchange filing on Monday.

RailTel Corp will complete the order in eight months.

The trading window of RailTel Corp will remain closed from Jan 1 for 48 hours as the company will release its quarterly results, it said in an separate exchange filing on Wednesday.

RailTel Corp rose for three days in a row. It rose as much as 6.39% on Thursday to Rs 430.95 apiece, the highest level since Dec 18. It was trading 6.18% higher at Rs 430.10 apiece as of 09:36 a.m., as compared to 0.18% advance in the NSE Nifty 50 index.

The stock rose 21.51% in 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 6.1 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 58.25.

RailTel Corp hit 52-week high of Rs 617.80 apiece on July 12, 2024. It touched the 52-week low of 301.40 apiece on March 14.

Out of three analysts tracking the company, one maintains a 'buy' rating, and two suggest 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month consensus price target implies a downside of 30.7%.
