Non-banking finance company Manappuram Finance Ltd.'s net profit declined for the second straight quarter.
The bottom line fell 17 percent to Rs 160 crore as compared to the corresponding quarter last year, the lender said in a stock exchange filing.
Net interest income, the bank's core income from operations rose 7 percent year-on-year to Rs 584 crore. Other income of the lender rose 45.75 percent to Rs 976.72 crore on a yearly basis.
Total expense of the company in the same quarter increased 7.95 percent to Rs 59,793 crore.
Ahead of the earnings announcement, shares of Manappuram Finance closed 2.75 lower on the benchmark indices.
