(Bloomberg) -- Hedge funds eked out a gain in the first half of the year in the face of market turmoil early in 2016 and the U.K. vote to leave the European Union in June.
The average hedge fund gained 1.6% this year through June, according to the HFRI Fund Weighted Composite. Funds gained 0.8 percent last month.
