(Bloomberg) -- Credit hedge fund OCP Asia has hired Ernest Lee from Nomura Singapore Ltd. as a senior portfolio manager, Dan Simmons, a partner at the firm said. Lee will join the firm's Singapore office in August.
Lee's last title at Nomura was head of the principal finance group for Asia ex-Japan. Aaron Pan, a spokesman for Nomura, declined to comment.
OCP Asia is expanding in the Asia-Pacific region as banks pull back in the region, offering more opportunities for private debt funds to extend credit. The firm has about $1.1 billion of assets under management and it focuses on private lending to small to medium size companies in Asia Pacific.
