Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. missed analysts' estimates in the April-June quarter due to de-stocking ahead of Goods and Services Tax launch and higher investments.
Net profit fell 8.9 percent to Rs 225 crore compared to the corresponding quarter last year, according to the company's exchange filing. The consensus estimate of analysts tracked by Bloomberg stood at Rs 284 crore.
Revenue increased 3.5 percent to Rs 2,271 crore, falling short of the Rs 2,322 crore consensus of analysts. Sales growth was impacted by GST-led cautiousness in trade in June, the company said in its press release.
