Sanjeev Rajput shoots a Commonwealth Games record of 454.5 to take home India's 19th gold medal at Gold Coast. Chain Singh comes fifth with a score of 419.1.
Rajput was in the third place with 150.5 points after kneeling stage in the final, went onto to second position with a whopping 156.3 in kneeling. With 98.7 from two shots in the standing-elimination stage, he took the lead and stayed in front to clinch his first CWG gold.
He had shot a Games record score of 1180 in the qualification.
His team-mate Chain Singh, second in qualification, was the fourth to be eliminated and finished in fifth place.

All five judges awarded the 35-year-old the bout with identical 30-27 scores, indicating that they believed the Indian held the upper hand throughout the bout.

Sanjeev Rajput shot three series of 98 and a 97 in the kneeling stage to take the lead. He backed it up with three successive 100s and a 99 in the prone stage and add 390 in the standing stage with three series of 98 each. In the process he broke Gagan Narang's record of 1166 set in Delhi 2010.
The 29-year-old Chain Singh equalled Gagan Narang's record set in Delhi 2010 with his scores of 389 in kneeling, 398 in prone and 379 in standing. He shot a good series of scores in prone, shooting two 100s and two 99s.
The Indians had the two best scores in qualification round and will look to extend their dominance into the medal rounds. The final will be held at 8.15 a.m. IST.
Wrestling: Sakshi Goes Down in Her Second Bout
In the women's 62 kg weight class event, Sakshi Malik lost her second bout against Canada's Michelle Fazzari 8-11.
Sakshi took an early lead of 4-0 but Michelle made a strong back and won three points in the dying seconds.
Since only five wrestlers are part of the women's 62 kg weight category, the competition is being held in the Nordic format, where all wrestlers compete against each other with points being awarded for the way wins are achieved.
Sakshi will next play Aminat Adeniyi of Nigeria.

India's second mixed doubles pair of Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Manika Batra go down fighting in the semi-final to English Liam Pitchford and Tin-Tin Ho.
The Indian duo lost the first two games but came back strongly to win the third and fourth games to take the match into a decider. The fifth game was a thriller till the English duo clinched it 15-13.
Sathiyan and Manika lost 8-11, 10-12, 11-5, 11-8, 13-15.

Indians in Action on Day 10
With just two days of action left at the Games, some of India's big medal contenders will be seen in competition on Saturday.
The day starts in the shooting arena with Chain Singh and Sanjeev Rajput starting the 50m Rifle 3 Positions qualifiers. Also starting at 4.30 am is the Double Trap qualification that will feature Kynan Chenai and Manavjit Sandhu.
After the women's doubles silver in table tennis, Saturday sees more Indians fighting it out in the semis. Achanta Sharath/Mouma Das take on Singapore's Ning Gao/Mengyu starting 5 am and then Sathiyan Gnanasekaran/Manika Batra face Liam Pitchford/Tin-Tin Ho of England around 5.35 am.
Badminton semi-finals are also on Saturday with Satwik Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty facing Sachin Dias/Buwaneka Goonethilleka of Sri Lanka. Kidambi Srikanth is playing Rajiv Ouseph of England, HS Prannoy has a tough one against Malaysia' Lee Chong Wei, Saina Nehwal plays Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour and PV Sindhu takes on Canada's Li Michelle.
