Anil Kumar Bakshi, member of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council, approached a local court seeking registration of a police case against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi for his alleged remarks on the youths held by NIA saying it amounted to treason and promoted terrorism.

The remark from Owaisi that his party will provide legal aid to five youths arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) amounts to treason. Owaisi's remark also shows that he is supporting terrorism.
