(Bloomberg) -- The Treasury Department's inspector general has requested documents and records related to a trip a top aide took on a private jet with the founder of a hedge fund.
Eli Miller, chief of staff to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, flew with Nelson Peltz, a founding partner of New York-based Trian Fund Management, the Washington Post reported Tuesday. The inspector general has asked Treasury for all records related to that trip, said spokesman Rich Delmar.
Treasury's press office didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The inspector general is about to complete its review of Mnuchin's own requests and use of government planes, with a memo being filed to the head of the IG either late Tuesday or early Wednesday, Delmar said. That review is expected to be made public within a week, he said.
