(Bloomberg) -- French President Emmanuel Macron's approval rating fell 7 points to 36% in a YouGov opinion poll published Thursday, making him less popular than his Prime Minister Edouard Philippe.
Philippe's positive rating fell 2 points to 37% in July, the poll showed. The new government's approval rating dropped 5 points to 33%, and the number of respondents expressing a negative view of the government jumped 16 points to 52%.
The poll was carried out online July 26-27 among a sample of 1,003 French adults.
