Hillary Clinton's team responded to the image Donald Trump had shared on his Twitter account on Saturday, calling her “the most corrupt candidate ever”. Clinton's team called the tweet “blatantly anti-semitic” owing to the Star of David which was positioned next to Clinton's image.
The comment was made by Clinton campaign's director of Jewish outreach, Sarah Bard:
Donald Trump's use of a blatantly anti-Semitic image from racist websites to promote his campaign would be disturbing enough, but the fact that it's a part of a pattern should give voters major cause for concern. Now, not only won't he apologise for it, he's peddling lies and blaming others.
In his tweet, Trump had called Clinton the “most corrupt candidate ever!”.
BraddJaffy) ">Trump initially defended the image by saying the star was only “basic star often used by sheriffs who deal with criminals and criminal behavior”.
Dishonest media is trying their absolute best to depict a star in a tweet as the Star of David rather than a Sheriff's Star, or plain star!
However, the image was still removed from Twitter and replaced with an edited version, with a circle in place of a star.
