In a major reshuffle, Smriti Irani lost the Ministry of Human Resource Development to Prakash Javadekar. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu assigned Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
Smriti Irani's removal from her post in the MHRD has mostly have invited positive reactions from opposition parties.

Irani has been the most unworthy of the post of HRD minister. Her removal shows that some good sense has prevailed in the cabinet.
