Bringing attention to issues of sustainability, employment and education, Payal Kanodia, Director at M3M Group, shared her experience of visiting Davos for the first time in a conversation with NDTV Profit on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
Kanodia, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the International University of Fundamental Studies in St. Petersburg, Russia, is also a philanthropist working on these priority areas at the grassroots level.
Speaking about the atmosphere at Davos, she said, "I have loved every session I have attended since morning. The pressing issues I am involved with - sustainability, employment and education - are very close to my heart because I work on them at the grassroots."
Kanodia said that raising these issues at a global platform like the World Economic Forum helps India gain richer perspectives from global leaders and experts.
"We have leaders from across industries, corporates and governments from India and around the world. What better platform than this to address these issues and ask policymakers the relevant questions?" she noted.
She added that the discussions in Davos can help shape India's policy landscape and allow the country to integrate global best practices into ongoing efforts back home.
"We could get a lot of answers on the work India is doing and the path the country is carving on these issues - and how those insights can be integrated into the work we are doing in India," Kanodia said.
