(Bloomberg) -- Spain's National Court still hasn't decided whether to issue an arrest warrant for ousted Catalan President Carles Puigdemont, a spokesman said.
Judge Carmen Lamela is still deliberating whether to order the arrest of Puigdemont, the spokesman said. Government Spokesman Inigo Mendez de Vigo told reporters earlier on Friday that a warrant had been issued to detain Puigdemont. A spokesman for him later said he had spoken in error.
Lamela yesterday sent eight former officials in Puigdemont's government to jail pending trial, including the ousted Vice-President Oriol Junqueras.
