BPSC organizes the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) annually to identify qualified candidates for administrative roles within the state government, including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Social Officer, and various other associated services.
The exam will be conducted in three phases: Preliminary examination, main examination, and interview. Those who clear the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the Mains exam. Those who clear the Mains exam will be eligible to appear in an interview.
Application Fees, Qualification, Age Criteria
Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay a fee of Rs 600, while those from SC, ST categories, and others are required to pay Rs 150.
Graduation is the minimum qualification required for the applicant. Applicants must fall within the age range of 20 to 37 years (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories per regulations).

As per the published schedule, preliminary examinations for the 72nd CCE is set to take place on 26 July 2026 throughout Bihar. The established date provides aspirants ample time to get ready for the multiple-choice evaluation.
