Vijay Rupani Takes Oath as  Gujarat Chief Minister; PM Modi Gets Nostalgic
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and his deputy Nitin Patel retained their posts after the BJP won the Gujarat assembly polls.

Vijay Rupani took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the second time on 26 December. He was sworn-in along with his deputy Nitin Patel, eight Cabinet Ministers and 10 Ministers of State.

  • The Cabinet Ministers who took oath were Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, RC Faldu, Kaushik Patel, Saurabh Patel, Vestabhai Vasava, Vithalbhai Radadiya, Dilipkumar Thakor and Ishwarbhai Parmar
  • The Council of Ministers took oath in the presence of PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah
  • Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Ram Vilas Paswan, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia, and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar were also present

PM Modi Gets Nostalgic, Shares Pictures of His Oath-Taking Ceremonies of the Past

After the oath-taking ceremony, Modi - who was Gujarat's CM between 2001 and 2014, went nostalgic and shared pictures of the ceremonies when he took oath in the past.
