BITS Pilani has announced a tuition-blind admission policy for the top 500 BITSAT rank holders starting academic year 2026โ27. Eligible candidates whose annual family income does not exceed Rs 20 lakh will benefit from a full tuition scholarship for all four years if they maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their respective campus.
According to the official press release, โThis is not a scholarship students must apply for after joining; rather, it is an assurance built into the admission offer, ensuring that top performers can choose BITS based on aspiration and opportunity, not affordability.โ
Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice Chancellor, stated in a post on X, โWe have invested heavily in scholarships for years, but tuition blind admissions for our top 500 BITSAT rankers is a defining step. If you have the talent, money should not come in the way.โ
1 in every 4 students gets financial assistance
Numerous scholarships, fellowships, and various types of financial aid are available to students, including the institute's own merit-based or merit-plus-need grants for learners. Approximately 25% students obtain some kind of financial support even prior to enrolment. To continue receiving scholarships, awardees must uphold satisfactory academic performance and appropriate behaviour, according to the institution's policy.
