Russia’s Currency Woe Is Delight For Football Fans

The football World Cup 2018 may be a great chance for fans to watch the world's biggest sporting event live from the stadium. The reason: a favourable foreign exchange rate.

The Russian ruble has depreciated over 8 percent against the U.S. dollar so far this year, making it the sixth worst performer among the 147 currencies tracked by Bloomberg. The currency has weakened over 3 percent against the Indian rupee.

But people travelling from World Cup favourites Brazil and Argentina aren't so lucky since their currencies have fared worse against the ruble this year.
