Wheat Wilting as U.S. Planting Plunges to Century Low: Chart

(Bloomberg) -- Foreign competition and domestic gains in corn and soybean crops will push U.S. wheat acreage to the lowest since the U.S. Department of Agriculture started tracking plantings in 1919, the agency said Friday. Farmers will plant 46.1 million acres of the grain, an 8.1 percent decline from 2016.
