(Bloomberg) -- The International Criminal Court sentenced former rebel commander Dominic Ongwen to 25 years in jail for war crimes committed during a 20-year insurgency in northern Uganda.
Ongwen, 46, was found guilty of 61 charges, including murder, abduction and rape. The time Ongwen has been in custody, since January 2015, will be deducted from the 25-year jail term, ICC Judge Bertram Schmit said.
