(Bloomberg) -- Tiger Woods won't be teeing it up in the U.S. Open next week.
The 46-year-old said his body needs more time to get stronger for major championship golf but that he plans to play the British Open at St. Andrews next month, the final major of the year.
Woods pulled out of the PGA Championship in May after posting his highest career score in the event in the third round and walked with a noticeable limp.
The 15-time major champion made his return to professional golf following a car crash in early 2021 at the Masters this April and made the cut.
