This Is The Most Experienced Leader On Hurun's List Of Top 200 Self-Made Entrepreneurs

At 81, Ashok Soota, who founded Happiest Minds Technologies in 2011, is the eldest entrepreneur in India's Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024.

Happiest Minds Founder Ashok Soota is the most experienced entrepreneurs on Hurun's list of Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024.

Prepared in partnership with IDFC FIRST Private Banking, the list showcases the accomplishments of nearly 400 founders from across 200 companies in India's entrepreneurial landscape, Hurun India said on Wednesday. It recognises the 200 most valuable companies based in India, established on or after 2000.

The companies collectively have a valuation of Rs 36 lakh crore, highlighting their contribution to India's growing economic development.

DMart Founder Radhakishan Damani topped the list, followed by Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal and Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy of Swiggy.

Falguni Nayar of Nykaa retained the top position in the list of women entrepreneurs, while Mamaearth’s Ghazal Alagh was the youngest woman. 

Zepto Co-founder Kaivalya Vohra, 21, was the youngest entrepreneur on the list.

The average age of India's Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024 is 45 years, with 35 of the founders on the list born in the 1990s.

While India's Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024 is mostly composed of young entrepreneurs, as many as 33 founders featured in the list are aged 60 or older, Hurun India said. 

At 81, Ashok Soota, who founded Happiest Minds Technologies in 2011 after his tenure as executive chairman at Mindtree, is the eldest entrepreneur in India's Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024.
