TCS Brings In Aarthi Subramanian From Tata Sons As COO
TCS appoints Aarthi Subramanian as new Chief Operating Officer 

Tata Consultancy Services has appointed Aarthi Subramanian as its new President and Chief Operating Officer. Subramanian moves to TCS from Tata Sons, where she served as the Group Chief Digital Officer.

The announcement was made on Thursday along with the fourth quarter results. “Aarthi Subramanian most recently functioned as the Group Chief Digital Officer at Tata Sons and has been on the TCS Board as a Non-Executive Member. With her appointment today, as President and Chief Operating Officer, she will become Executive Director on the Board of TCS with effect from 1st May 2025,” the company said in a release.

Subramanian comes in with over 28 years of experience in the global technology sector. She began her career with TCS in 1989 as a graduate trainee. She later advanced to analyst and project manager positions before moving from account management to a senior executive position.

During her stint in TCS, she went on to hold multiple positions in Sweden, India, the US, and Canada. She has been adept at managing large-scale technology programmes and operations as well as consulting engagements. The new COO has also spent seven years as the head of Delivery for the TCS Retail & CPG Business segment, where she oversaw a number of clients and critical accounts.

Subramanian holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal (India) and a master's degree in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas (USA). It is known through public record that the tech veteran, a fitness enthusiast, is also interested in listening to music, watching movies and reading management-related books.
